The Orthopaedic Department provides services in the diagnosis, management, and rehabilitation of musculoskeletal diseases that play an important role in our daily activities. The Department collaborates with the other units of our hospital and makes use of the extensive range of technology available to plan and implement the best treatment for patients.

Orthopaedics and trauma units apply a variety of advanced treatment methods, including:
- Arthroscopy -Diagnosis and treatment using camera monitoring within the joints using arthroscopy. This a surgical intervention where a camera is inserted into the joint through a small incision for the diagnosis and treatment of joint problems. This is undertaken as a day case procedure.
- Replantation of extremities, which were reattach using microsurgical methods under advanced surgical microscopes
- Replacement of dysfunctional joints using prosthesis surgery in which the skin incisions are kept to a minimum to reduce soft tissue damage and ensure the fastest recovery. This method is used in hip, knee, shoulder, elbow and hand MP and PIP joint prosthesis surgeries.
- Early and late-stage treatment of obstetrical and traumatic brachial plexus injuries
- Treatment of obstetrical hand and body anomalies
- Transplantation of tissues, such as bone, muscle etc. to a damaged region from other sites of the body for largebone defects, soft tissue defects and functional free muscle transfers.
